I think it's interesting that people are made so uncomfortable by the idea that some people straddle the dividers on the MBT. My tendancy to flip-flop between I and E lead people on another list to immediate start trying to persuade me that I was one or the other. In reality, both INTP and ENTP descriptions fit me equally well. (To make it worse, my T and my P are pretty close to the border, although I generally test XNTP reguardless of mood). I am endlessy facinated by the human desire to pin people down to one type. Judging from the NT site, supposedly rational NT types often seem to have a hard time with the idea of continuum.
I am wondering if this is a general feature of the human psyche, or a stronger tendancy among certain general types.
